The Turks and Caicos Islands consist of 40 islands and cays, eight of which are inhabited. The islands are 550 miles southeast of Miami, Florida, just below the Bahamas and east of Cuba, Dominican Republic and Haiti. As a British Overseas Territory the Turks and Caicos has English as it's official language. With year-round sunshine and stunning beaches Turks and Caicos is a fantastic holiday destination for all.  

Big Chill Villa is located on the island of Providenciales (Provo) which is the third largest island (38 sqm/98km2) in Turks and Caicos but has the largest population (just under 30,000). The island is served by Providenciales International Airport.

Provo boasts stunning white sandy beaches with clear, turquoise waters bursting with marine life making it an ideal destination for sea lovers. There are many activities to keep you busy on the water such as Scuba diving, snorkeling, kite-boarding, kayaking, boat charters, paddle-boarding, eco-tours, a visit to Chalk Sound National Park, a stunning three mile turquoise bay and so much more.

For land lovers you can simply enjoy the white pristine beaches or a trip to the Turk’s Head Brewery to taste the local beers. There is also golf, tennis, horse riding, hiking and bird watching on offer as well as many spas, shops and a number of art galleries to enjoy. A visit to Cheshire Hall, 200 year old ruins of a former cotton plantation is a must see. Fish Fry on Thursdays is a fantastic way to interact with locals and tourists at a weekly open-air market selling local arts and crafts as well as delicious local cuisine.

There are many restaurants and cafes in Provo offering a variety of international and local fare. You will find everything from fine dining to beach bars and coffee shops. Fresh local lobster (during lobster season), conch, snapper and grouper are found on many menus and you can also enjoy a burger, pizza or a curry. There is definitely something for everyone!
